Jess + Rob’s in-home newborn session had to be rescheduled because of snow, but oh my goodness it was worth the wait! Thursday morning I traveled down from Louisville to Frankfort, Kentucky and I was so excited for this one. Being invited into someone’s home during this special time is such a privilege, getting to watch these moments from a front row seat is something that I don’t take lightly, and when I reached Jess and Rob’s home I felt welcomed immediately. They have a two year old son (who reminded me much of my own son!) and after chatting for a bit we all went up to the nursery.
This past Sunday I met with Alexis & Eric at Beckley Creek Park in the Parklands for a very special session! Here in Louisville the temperature was only about fifteen degrees, but Alexis and Eric were all smiles the entire session – and for good reason! This special session was a pregnancy announcement session.
I’ve had the privilege of witnessing countless beautiful unions against the backdrop of this vibrant city. Every wedding is a unique tale, a blend of love, commitment, and the distinctive charm of the couple. Recently, I’ve noticed a growing trend among couples choosing to get ready for their big day in Airbnb accommodations, and I must say, it’s a trend worth considering. In this blog post, I’ll share my perspective on why preparing for your wedding in a Louisville Airbnb can be a game-changer, both in terms of your experience and the photos that will tell your love story for years to come. First, let’s take a look at my Louisville favorites!

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing Adam and Mary Emma’s sweet little family in their Louisville home. It’s December and at a time when it’s a little too cold to go outside for long (especially with a newborn), it was the PERFECT day for this sweet in-home newborn session. These are some of my absolute favorite photos to take. I’d opt for an in-home newborn session over a studio session every day. This may seem stressful, but your home doesn’t need to be perfect!
