Wedding at Eckert’s Orchard near Lexington, KY

As a wedding photographer in Lexington, KY I often find myself privileged to witness love in its purest form, framed against the backdrop of nature’s splendor. Such was the case when I had the honor of second shooting a wedding at Eckert’s Orchard – and oh my goodness this day was beautiful!

Setting the Scene

Nestled along Kentucky’s rolling hills, Eckert’s Orchard provides the perfect location for a celebration of love. Rows of apple trees stretch as far as the eye can see. Along their branches were delicate blossoms that seemed to dance in the gentle breeze. The air was alive with the sweet scent of apples and the promise of new beginnings, setting the stage for a day filled with joy and romance.

The Ceremony

As the bride and groom exchanged their vows in the orchard, I was struck by the profound sense of intimacy and connection that surrounded them. Against the backdrop of nature’s grandeur, their love shone brightly, illuminating the orchard with a warmth that was palpable to all who were present.

The Reception

In the reception tent, tables joined together to form a long family style dinner and the black and white checkered dance floor was absolutely gorgeous (I’m a sucker for black and white checkered flooring and the elegance of this reception was absolutely felt – it was BEAUTIFUL). Guests were treated to Drake’s cheeseburger sliders and slices of cheesecake for dessert. The absolute perfect feast to end this beautiful day.

The Memories

As the sun began to set and the day drew to a close, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a special occasion. In the heart of Eckert’s Orchard, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of loved ones, I witnessed a love story unfold in all its glory.

As we packed up our cameras I knew that the memories we captured would endure long after the petals had fallen from the trees. For in that fleeting moment in time, love had blossomed amidst the orchard. As well as being beautiful, I knew it would leave a mark on all who were lucky enough to witness it.
