Congratulations on your engagement! As a Louisville-based wedding photographer with years of experience capturing love stories, I understand the importance of choosing the perfect venue for your special day. Today, I want to share my insights into five exceptional venues in Lexington that not only offer picturesque settings but also cater to a variety of tastes and budgets. Let’s dive into the details of each venue and discover what makes them stand out.

Nestled in history, Bell House exudes charm and elegance, making it an ideal choice for intimate gatherings of up to 100 guests or 75 seated guests. The sweeping grand staircase provides a breathtaking backdrop for both indoor weddings and receptions.
Bell House offers competitive rental fees at $125 per hour from Monday to Thursday and $175 per hour from Friday to Sunday, with a three-hour minimum. A $300 security deposit is required, ensuring the preservation of this historic venue. Set-up and take-down are included within the rental hours, making your planning process smoother. Keep in mind that alcohol permits must be applied for at least 60 days in advance, and no BYOB or cash bars are allowed.
Housed in a former bus depot, Clerestory combines industrial vibes with elegance, accommodating up to 350 people. The open layout, surrounded by original windows, creates a blank canvas ready to reflect the unique story of each couple.
Rental rates vary, starting at $1200 for Monday to Thursday, $4200 for Friday and Sunday, and $5500 for Saturday. The venue boasts 6000 square feet of flexible interior space, a furnished green room, onsite parking, and a designated kitchen area for caterers. House speakers and a microphone are available to enhance your celebration.
The Carrick House, located in Lexington’s historic Third Street corridor, seamlessly blends a 19th-century southern mansion with a refined banquet event space. The Mansion Ballroom, Parlor, Lounge, and Library can accommodate up to fifty guests for a seated dinner or 150 for a roving cocktail event.
Creativity and expertise shine through in the culinary offerings at The Carrick House. From customized cocktail receptions to artisanal food presentations and formal seated dinners, their experienced culinary service team is dedicated to surpassing your expectations.

For a touch of royalty, consider the Keeneland Room, remodeled for the Queen of England. Enjoy a private sunset moment from the rooftop patio, perfect for an intimate cocktail party or rehearsal dinner.
The Thoroughbred Center offers three distinctive spaces to choose from. Stableview Hall seats 300, The Horseman’s Lounge seats 125, and The Paddock accommodates up to 200 for a ceremony or cocktail hour.
Wedding investments at The Thoroughbred Center start at $2,250 for Stableview Hall, $1,550 for The Horseman’s Lounge, and $1,525 for The Paddock. Each space features unique characteristics, from exposed rafters to scenic views of rolling pastures.
