Louisville, Crescent Hill Reservoir | Anniversary Session
Cameron and Abby are the sweetest couple. We met at golden hour at the Crescent Hill Reservoir, which was built as Louisville’s only water reservoir in the late 1800’s, and is gorgeous! We spent a bit of time at the park across the street, and then walked the loop around the reservoir.
The Couple
Cameron and Abby’s calm demeanor balance perfectly with their silliness, and the jokes that kept us laughing. As the sun set, the view was pretty spectacular and these two could not have been any sweeter. The looks they would give each other to make each other crack up were the best, and I could absolutely see the love these two have a year after their wedding.
I have to admit, I am a bit biased about these two as Cameron and Abby are some of my closest friends, but I think they make for an absolutely gorgeous couple, inside and out. So I have to admit, I was feeling pretty lucky at this session.
As we neared the end of our time together, talk turned to the idea of getting Indian food as a way to finish off their date night. Quality time is so important, and these two are making the time to capture these memories together. I absolutely love the idea of an anniversary session, and these two pulled it off beautifully!

The Reservoir
Crescent Hill Reservoir in Louisville, Kentucky, is a cool spot with a bit of history. Built in 1879, it’s been supplying Louisville with fresh water for quite a while. What makes it stand out is its fancy Egyptian Revival-style gatehouse, designed by the talented John Burke. Think ancient Egyptian vibes, right in the heart of Kentucky!
Besides being a water superhero, the reservoir area is a chill place. You’ve got this park-like setting, perfect for a stroll or just hanging out. It’s not just about water – it’s about enjoying the views and the community vibe.
And oh, did I mention it’s become a bit of a local hotspot? People love soaking in the history, the architecture, and the green spaces. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out.
