Some engagement sessions are filled with golden sunlight and warm breezes, and others—like Mona + Todd’s—require a little extra courage. We met at the historic Marriott Griffin Gate in Lexington, KY, where the grand mansion and expansive golf course provided the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos. The winter chill was undeniable, and the winds kept us on our toes, but these two embraced every moment with warmth and laughter.
The Perfect Backdrop
From the very beginning, Mona + Todd’s connection was so evident. Despite the cold, they held each other close, radiating joy and love. The mansion’s elegant architecture added a timeless feel to their portraits, and the rolling hills of the golf course gave us the perfect mix of natural and classic beauty. As the session went on, the skies hinted at rain, but we pushed through, capturing stunning shots before the first drops fell. Talk about perfect timing!
