As a Cincinnati wedding photographer, there are few things as thrilling as being invited to capture the essence of a styled shoot. It’s an opportunity to collaborate with talented vendors, immerse oneself in creativity, and ultimately, to tell a story through the lens. Recently, I had the privilege of participating in a styled shoot at the enchanting Laurel Court in Cincinnati, and it was nothing short of magical.

There’s something magical about love blooming amidst the vibrant colors and fragrant scents of a botanical garden. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing such enchantment during Hank + Miranda’s engagement session at Louisville’s Waterfront Botanical Gardens. Nestled along the banks of the Ohio River, we started at the Botanical Gardens and then moved to Waterfront Park for a walk along the river to end our time together – and it was beautiful!

I met Grace + Gabriel on a Tuesday evening and had so much fun with these two! I loved the little looks they would give each other and the genuine laughter that flowed. Grace is one of my oldest friends and I was SO happy to see her. One of the things that I love most about this job is that it allows me to connect (or reconnect!) with so many people – and there’s something beautiful about that. On this evening we met in Norton Commons for their couples session, and what a beautiful location!

Bryan + Blair’s engagement session was absolutely GORGEOUS. They chose to wait until spring for their session and I’m so glad they did! As winter bids its final farewell and nature awakens from its slumber, there’s no better time to celebrate love in all its splendor than the vibrant season of spring. With blossoms in full bloom and the air filled with the sweet scent of flowers, it’s the perfect backdrop for an enchanting engagement session. And what better place to capture this magical moment than amidst the timeless beauty of Louisville’s St. James Court?

This past weekend I had the honor of attending a styled shoot at Mather’s Mill, a gorgeous wedding venue about an hour outside of Louisville, in Central Kentucky. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was how pristine everything was, and I was impressed! The long white gravel driveway provides a nice drive up into the venue and the red barn really pops against the countryside. It was a rainy Sunday morning when I arrived so I quickly threw on my rain boots sitting in the passenger seat, grabbed my bags, and ran inside the farmhouse.

Red River Gorge, often referred to as the “Little Grand Canyon,” boasts stunning rock formations, towering cliffs, and lush greenery that create a natural cathedral of love. As a wedding photographer, the opportunity to capture couples exchanging vows against this awe-inspiring backdrop is a dream come true. The towering sandstone arches and majestic landscapes offer a sense of grandeur that elevates the entire wedding experience.

Cameron and Abby are the sweetest couple. We met at golden hour at the Crescent Hill Reservoir, which was built as Louisville’s only water reservoir in the late 1800’s, and is gorgeous! We spent a bit of time at the park across the street, and then walked the loop around the reservoir.
