Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Marisa + Johnny’s sweet newborn baby girl in Louisville, KY, and I wanted to share the experience along with some tips for parents preparing for their own in-home session.

Welcoming a newborn into the family is a precious and fleeting moment in life. As parents, we cherish every tiny detail of our little one’s early days, knowing that they grow and change in the blink of an eye. I met Marisa + Johnny at Beckley Creek Park just in time for golden hour to start their maternity session, and let me go ahead and spoil the ending for you – it was BEAUTIFUL.
