Top Shelf

From the Owner:

“The Top Shelf is a space carefully crafted with amenities aplenty! Perched on top of the 90-year-old Pepper Bourbon Distillery, this condo is for the Lexington visitor who likes to be in the middle of the action. Soaring views, three balconies, and all the amenities to make your Bluegrass visit one of a kind. The Top Shelf is perfect for a discerning couple, an adventuring family, or for a group of fun-seekers.

The space is one of a kind. We completely understand that it may not be for everyone. It is forty feet up in air. It is on top of a bar that frequently has live music. It is adjacent to a distillery with the smell of cooking bourbon. The industrial air conditioners for the restaurants are also on the roof, and can be a little noisy (earplugs provided). But everyone who has stayed has LOVED it! It is in the middle of the action and overlooking everything. It’s cool, unique, with three patios and you can grab a giant slice of pizza and a craft cocktail by simply walking downstairs.”

Choosing an Airbnb

Now, you might be wondering, “Why should I opt for an Airbnb instead of a traditional bridal suite?” Well, allow me to share some insights from my years of capturing those precious moments before “I do.”

Ambiance

First and foremost, let’s talk about ambiance. One of the biggest advantages of choosing an Airbnb for your pre-wedding festivities is the sheer variety of spaces available. From charming cottages nestled in the heart of the countryside to stylish lofts in downtown Lexington, Airbnb offers an array of options to suit every taste and theme. Whether you’re dreaming of rustic chic or modern elegance, you’re bound to find the perfect backdrop for your bridal preparations.

Practicality

But it’s not just about aesthetics – practicality plays a huge role too. Unlike traditional bridal suites, which can sometimes feel cramped and impersonal, Airbnb properties often provide ample space for you and your bridal party to relax and unwind. Picture yourself sipping mimosas in a cozy living room, having your hair and makeup done in a bright, spacious kitchen, or slipping into your wedding dress in a serene bedroom overlooking rolling hills – sounds dreamy, doesn’t it?

Convenience

Speaking of convenience, let’s not forget about the perks of having a fully-equipped kitchen at your disposal. Instead of relying on pricey room service or crowded hotel restaurants, you can stock up on your favorite snacks and beverages, ensuring that you and your squad stay energized and hydrated throughout the day. Plus, who doesn’t love the idea of indulging in a homemade brunch or midnight snack while getting ready for the main event?

Flexibility

Another often-overlooked benefit of Airbnb is the flexibility it offers in terms of timing. Unlike hotels with strict check-in and check-out times, Airbnb hosts are often more accommodating, allowing you to customize your schedule according to your needs. Whether you prefer an early morning start or a leisurely afternoon affair, you can plan your pre-wedding activities with ease, knowing that you have the freedom to come and go as you please.

Documentation

Last but certainly not least, let’s talk about the photo opportunities. As a wedding photographer, I can’t stress enough how much the right setting can enhance the beauty of your bridal portraits. Whether it’s the soft, natural light streaming through a picture-perfect window or the charming details of a vintage-inspired decor, Airbnb properties offer endless possibilities for stunning photographs that you’ll cherish for years to come.

So, there you have it – just a few reasons why Airbnb might be the perfect choice for your wedding day preparations. From ambiance and convenience to flexibility and photo-worthy backdrops, the advantages are truly endless. So why settle for the ordinary when you can elevate your wedding experience with a touch of Airbnb magic? Trust me, you won’t regret it.
